Saturday 15th of February we start again with a new serie in Het 4e Gymnasium from 14.30 – 16.00 hour. With the help of You Tube clips several drills, techniques and tactics will be explored. You can sign up for every training session separately and choose the topics that are interesting for you. Costs €7,50, if you keep on playing afterwards, it is €10 in total. You can sign up in advance here.
Sunday 6 April: Amsterdam Singles tournament in sport hall de Pijp
Saturday 19 April: Pickleball Party Het 4e Gymnasium 6 -10 pm, with Glow in the dark
Sunday 18 May: End-of- the-season Pickleball tourney in sport hall de Pijp. You play with different partners, dinner afterwards in community center round the corner

We offer locations to play pickleball all over Amsterdam! During the main season, we play indoors in several different neighborhoods. During the summer, we play outdoors in Nieuw-West.

Level of play

On most days, it doesn’t matter if you are a beginner or more experienced. Everybody plays with everybody, we change partners all the time (social play). For people who take their first pickleball steps a beginner clinic will be offered on the spot. Come and discover this fun new sport!

The only location not suitable to start playing pickleball for the first time is on Monday Pieter Nieuwlandstraat 3 in De Dapperschool.

Shoes

Please bring clean athletic shoes, dedicated for indoor use only, no black soles (non-marking only). This protects the gym floors from stains and marks. As a guideline: sport shoes for indoor volleyball, tennis or handball are great and non-marking. Running shoes (with partly black soles) are designed to use outdoors and therefore not allowed.

Payment

All the revenues from season passes, ticket strips and separate passes are used for the growth of pickleball in Amsterdam. The foundation Pickleball Amsterdam is solely run by volunteers. With the revenues the rent of locations is paid, materials are bought and several pickleball tournaments are organized.

Confidential counselor

Pickleball Amsterdam is a small organisation, very much in build up. Often it goes well, but sometimes something rubs the wrong way, causes tension on the court or over general cours of affairs: you can turn to that specific host of the session, to a board member (Jiske or Pim), however it could be comforting to involve an independent party. This is called a confidential counsellor. He or she has an independent position and can intervene or mediate.

If there is a conflict or you experience inappropriate behaviour, please contact Martijn Leeuwenhart (Dutch speaking) or Joe Lee (English speaking). They help to secure social safety within Pickleball Amsterdam.
